Thank you to those who attended the first day of our PBI 2024 conference, kicking-off with a day-long programme devoted to amplifying Indigenous stories in public media.

This is the first time the annual PBI conference, which brings together public media leaders from around the globe, has devoted a full day to focus on Indigenous Peoples and public broadcasting. 


First announced at PBI Ottawa 2024, the podcast is the latest outcome of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Australia’s ABC and CBC/Radio-Canada.


Good news is… our PBI 2024 conference continues!

Get ready: We’ll begin tomorrow, October 9, at 8:30 a.m. sharp.


Registration 7:30 a.m. | 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 


Reception 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Official photo identification required — Suggested dress code: Business wear.

  • French Embassy, 42, Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1M 2C9 (Google Map)

  • How to get there? Shuttles will be available at 6 p.m. from these 3 hotels: Sheraton, Marriott and Le Germain. Return via shuttles is at 10 p.m. Taxis, ride-sharing services and public transportation available in the area.
